This panel discussion was hosted by Shaughn Richardson and chaired by Jamie Hemingway of the Washoe County library System, Dr. Diana Townsend of the University of Nevada, Reno and me, Griffin Peralta.
In this first episode, we open by defining democratic values in our various environments. We then transition to discussing the power of books and the roles they play in the classroom. This episode will wrap up with the panel explaining how educators can use books to help kids have agency in the classroom.  Let’s listen in.
